Today there was a fire on the north side of our campus. It was so big there were helicopters running back and forth for over an hour as they dropped water to put the fire out. Our team was in a training session when they received a call about it. A few moments later, several students were on the scene as they hauled buckets of water from a nearby pool

When God packs your lunch

One of my friends shared this story and I found it to be very inspiring. This girl was diagnosed with autism as a child, but found her voice at the age of 11 when she began to communicate with others through the computer. Can you imagine? It seems this case may give us insight into others who are dealing with the same issues. *Warning... this may make you cry.

Maya telling me: I love you more than anyone ever loved their mom OR dad!

Reading Brown Bear Brown Bear with Rosalina and kissing every time we get to the fish picture because I don't know what sound fish make and so we just make fishy lips together and kiss.

Cute skirts and dolls to dress

by Robert William Service

It's easy to fight when everything's right,
And you're mad with the thrill and the glory;
It's easy to cheer when victory's near,
And wallow in fields that are gory.
It's a different song when everything's wrong,
When you're feeling infernally mortal;
When it's ten against one, and hope there is none,
Buck up, little soldier, and chortle:

Carry on! Carry on!

He called us last week from Tennessee to say he had been fired from his job and his employer had pulled a gun on him. I've tried to call him several times this week, but there's no answer. It could be that the minutes have run out on his phone, but... I'm not sure. Please pray for God's protection and wisdom for what he should do next. I found this book and a couple others for a dollar at our local second-hand store. I was very excited to find it, especially after I discovered it costs around thirty dollars new. Anyway, I have been reading through, and it has a lot of great literature in it. Here is a poem by Nixon Waterman on the virtue of work:
