Day 1

Today I made muffins for breakfast. The girls drew cute pictures like this one:
love it love it love it

and later in the day I made pink play dough.
I also managed to wash all the bed linens and remake the beds before the girls went to bed.
(Wow. I'm impressed by myself on that one.)

Jasmine saw me praying yesterday, so she walked over to me and said, "Mom, I teached you how to pray before, you pray like this:
Dear Jesus, (pause so I could repeat after her) help my daughters to be good. (Yes, she used the word daughters.) And help them to be obenient. (not a typo- that's what she said)
Thank you Lord. Amen.
I had to smile about that one.

Ethan (my amazingly wonderful husband) is in Louisiana helping to clean up the oil spill, so I'm going to try to actually post every day that he is away... maybe it this will kick start me into consistency!
We'll see.
In the meantime, I'll share some pics of my girls favorite things to do.
Tonight I asked the girls what they were thankful for, Maya mentioned (among other things) drum roll please....

Worms. Funny, huh? My nature lovin girl...

Jasmine said she likes to swing. Actually, she said she loves it when her Papa swings her up high...

Who wouldn't want to swing on a bluebird day like this?

It's been a good day. I made the mistake of drinking tea after the girls went to bed (with froo-froo creamer, of course)... hence the reason for staying up until after midnight...

I have all sorts of ideas running through my head, but not enough time to really go into any of them, so maybe I'll start a running list and share those things later. I love lists. They're everywhere. I keep index cards handy just so I can make more lists.

Grocery lists.
Home improvement ideas.
Craft projects I want to get to.
I have lists on the fridge and in my purse. I even have a binder for lists called my Home Management Guide. sounds organized, doesn't it? You would think so....

I really should get to bed now.

Later.
