Why are we here?

A couple years ago, when Ethan and I were feverishly pleading with God to tell us how we could serve Him best, we were surprised to discover that finding our purpose in life wasn’t as hard as we were making it out to be. Through prayer, we got a picture of a little girl running up to her Daddy and asking, "What can I do to bless you? Do you want me to draw you a picture? Would you like something to drink?" I can still see the Dad, smiling down at his little girl and asking, "What do you want to give me? That is what I would like to receive - whatever you most want to give!"

In response to that picture, we decided to become missionaries. Not because God forced us to lay our life down, but because we wanted to bless His heart, and it seemed this was a great way to do it. We had no outstanding commitments, debts, or obligations, so it was a very viable option. So here we are: full time and still trying to discover how we can fulfill the dreams of God's heart. It is a process, a journey, and we are learning more every day . . .
