Just last night, we learned that children are being buried alive in Brazil because parents or tribal members believe they are possessed by evil spirits. This can be because of developmental delays, deformities, or even being born a twin or triplet. If the witch doctor declares they are "soulless", family members are expected to kill their own children.

As of now, the Brazilian government has not outlawed this practice because they feel it would interfere with tribal culture. Since when does culture take precedence over human life? They will be voting on the issue at the end of this month, so it is very important that we give a voice to this issue now.
