Or things like this could happen:
See that stuff on the floor? That was my lunch. I gave Rosalina a leeeetle taste, then turned to grab her some food, and crash-bang-splat- look at the mess I get to clean! Wasn't I brilliant to grab the camera so this moment could be immortalized FOREVER? I think so. This is what I may miss later... funny messes with babes who can't be scolded.
I think I like being a mom.
Funny, I never dreamed of being a Mom, although I often looked forward to being a Grandma.
Moms can be irritable and short-tempered, but Grandmas?
They are dripping with sweetness, wise, patient, caring, thoughtful and can do ANYTHING.
I guess motherhood is the road I must take in order to earn those character traits. At this rate, I should be a near-saint by the time my Grandchildren come around. Or at least- close enough of one for them to think so. Until then I will enjoy every moment, lest I rush through the messes to find my children grown, and who knows? Maybe then I will long for the days when the house was filled with mischevious munchkins. The days when silence sounded louder than a fire alarm (because you know they are doing SOMETHING they shouldn't be doing.) The days when life was fun and I was overwhelmed by all that needed to be done.
