Soup cake and apron creations

Today Maya and Jasmine were pretending it was Maya's birthday already. They made soup cake. All you need to make your own soup cake:

2 Baby carrots, cut up
some apple chunks
Lemongrass (from my herb garden)
Water

Mix together and voila! Party time! Now all you need are games...



I have wanted to make an apron for Maya a while now. I made one for Jasmine about a month ago, and just had not made the time to make one for Maya. Today she told me, "Mom, I'm sad because you didn't make me an apron." Well, after such a sweet plea, I sewed nearly a full evening till I made this:

Pink and blue - oh so sweet for my darling Maya.

Aah, the feeling of a job well done. Maybe later I can post a picture of Maya wearing it.
